Nearly Salisbury Steak

3 lb ground chuck
2 tbs slightly heaping of sourcream or onion chip dip
dash of sage, to taste
1 medium onion chopped
1/4 cup seasoned bread crumbs
salt and pepper to taste.

Mix all the above ingredients and shape in to flat oval patties and fry in a little oil till browned on both sides.

Then drain all the grease from the pan and add 3-4 cans or jars of brown gravy; simmer for about 1 or 1 1/2 hours on stove top, stirring often.

Serve with mashed potatoes.
